Welcome to 2023 Summer Camps at Fiddlehead!
We are gearing up for another super fun STEAM filled summer camp program. Please read the directions carefully and set about 10 minutes to go through the whole registration process. Our system works much better on a laptop or computer than on a mobile device. Enrollment is open to the public February 1st at 9am! Last year we filled up in 15 minutes, so set a reminder. Due to our space limitations and the overwhelming interest, we are asking families to sign up for only the weeks that they really need. Ideally, we'd like to set a max of 6-8 weeks per family so that more families have a chance to attend. If you were hoping to attend all 10 weeks and this poses a hardship for you, please reach out to Oona directly to discuss.
Here are a couple of practical notes:
-
A one time registration fee of $25 is due when you become a member - this membership is required to purchase any camp weeks.
-
Camp is geared to children ages 5 thru 10 with interest in all the STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math). Some of our themes have more to do with Art and others with Science, but each week the activities will integrate STEAM into all we do.
-
Camp runs from 8:30am-4pm to allow for a deep clean at the close of camp each day.
-
We are not able to provide before or after care options at this time.
-
We will have a maximum of 20 campers each day, with a minimum of 3 teachers and 2 youth counselors.
-
The cost of the 5 day camp is $350, with a day rate of $75.
-
We offer a 5% sibling discount.
-
Each week will have it's own unique theme and the projects will center around this theme.
-
We will spend much of the day outside in our back woods and our play area, including our hill slide.
-
Dress for mess! Our program promotes hands on learning and exploration which can be messy.
-
We do not have a mask policy in effect at the present time but we will re-visit in June and base any policies on the CDC recommendations.
-
Health checks, including no touch temperature reads, may be taken each morning upon arrival.
We have had a great time creating and designing camps that fully integrate our STEAM approach to learning. Kids will enjoy a good balance of unstructured and structured learning. Sign up for one week, several weeks, or more.
Thanks and we look forward to a happy and safe summer season!
