Please read important changes due to the pandemic:
Welcome to 2020 Summer Camps at Fiddlehead!
We have been working hard to strike a balance that will adhere to the safety guidelines from Governor Mills and the CDC, while also maintaining the fun and engaging learning environment that Fiddlehead is known for. Mostly this means a lot more cleaning. We are making some upgrades to our space as we speak: ripping out the old carpet and installing flooring that can easily be cleaned and disinfected each day. We are also limiting how many campers we can have onsite to 16 so that we can easily practice social distancing at Fiddlehead. Health checks and health surveys will be part of ensuring the safety and well-being of our campers and our instructors.
Here are a couple of practical changes:
We altered the hours to allow for a deep clean at the close of camp each day.
Camp will now run from 8am-4pm.
We will be scheduling each family their own staggered drop-off and pick-up time to limit the people in our space at any given time.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide extended care options this year.
Campers will be spaced 6ft apart at our project tables for activities, snacks, lunch, etc.
When we are not able to space campers 6ft apart we will require masks.
Health checks, including no touch temperature reads, will be taken each morning upon arrival.
PLEASE NOTE: To maximize enrollment for all our interested families we are encouraging people to sign up for a 5 day, 3 day (M,W,F) or 2 day (T/Th) schedule. Half-days may be available upon request. Preference may be given to essential workers needing care.
We are offering the following discounts: 5% for multiple children and 5% off each week after the 5th week. You must book each week individually and pay the $100 deposit at the time of registration. We will then invoice you for the remaining balance, with any discounts included. All new and returning families will be responsible for a one-time registration fee of $25. The New student registration form can be found below. Current Fiddlehead families who attend our aftercare and before care programs are exempt.
We have had a great time creating and designing camps that fully integrate our STEAM approach to learning. Kids will enjoy a good balance of unstructured and structured learning. Sign up for one week, several weeks, or the whole summer.
Thanks and we look forward to a happy and safe summer season!
