What should my child bring to camp?

  • Dress for a mess! We are sure to get messy so make sure to not wear anything that is  special.

  • Please pack a water bottle, 2-4 snacks and a lunch you know your child will eat! We have had some kiddos that don’t want their lunch and end up hungry! We usually do not provide any snacks!

  • We do have some nut allergies so please pack items that are NUT Free.

  • Please, please label your child's belongings with their name. You would be surprised how many items we have at the end of a camp week with no names on them.

  • Have your child wear clothing and footwear that is appropriate for the predicted weather conditions each day! We spend time outside & in our wooded area so sunscreen & bug spray are needed. It is also helpful if your child arrives with sunscreen on!  We have both available at Fiddlehead. If your family has special needs in this area please let a staff member know!

  • If your child has an IEP that requires a one on one aide during the school year it is likely we will require an aide when they attend summer camp. FMI please reach out to Oona at oona@fiddleheadscarborough.org.

Is there anything else we need to know?

Below are the Fiddlehead community guidelines for behavior - they were created by students in our after school leadership program, please take a moment to discuss with your child prior to the start of camp. We will reach out if your child is having difficulty following these guidelines!
