Oona is the Executive Director at Fiddlehead. She joined the staff a little over a year ago after moving back to Maine from California. Working at Fiddlehead has been a dream come true for her. It brings together her love for Education and Non-Profit Management and allows her to be creative and compassionate. A little known fact about her is that her family loves animals - right now they have 2 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, 9 chickens and a turtle named "Buddy." They hope to get a few goats in the spring!
Suzanne Drown Trout
Suzanne taught her first art camp at Fiddlehead in 2009 after meeting our previous director at an art show. Alison was drawn to her art and asked her to come teach, and she has been here ever since. Outside of Fiddlehead, Suzanne is an artist and creates prints, cards, and calendars. While her background is as an art therapist, she discovered her love of teaching while teaching art at a local theater camp that her daughter attended. That same daughter now works at Fiddlehead with her! Suzanne also loves photography and spends many free days taking pictures in nature and of her dog :) She is the talent behind our social media accounts!
Angel has been an instructor at Fiddlehead for the last 3 years. She joined us to teach art after getting her BFA in Art Education. Angel is with us for all of our K-5 day programs, in addition to a small-group drawing class for tweens that she teaches once a week. In her free time, Angel creates detailed illustrations of manga and is an avid book artist, making beautiful handmade books with her illustrations. She is also an Ancient History buff and loves learning about archaeology expeditions. She often incorporates what she learns into her lessons for our students! Angel says that she loves her job because she loves seeing faces light up when a student finds something new in art!
Mack joined our team as an instructor full time this fall after spending the past two summers with us at camp. She graduated in May from Wheaton College where she majored in Education and History. Mack is our resident history expert and has a special passion for peace and conflict studies. Before Fiddlehead, Mack was student teaching at Attleboro High School and working at a local nursery school. In her free time, Mack loves to read and learn more about history. She is constantly on a quest to find the next perfect read-aloud book to share with our students.

We are still actively recruiting new members and volunteers! Maybe you want to help with event planning or have an idea about corporate giving. Or maybe you just want to come see how a non-profit works.
We welcome you!
